right sided back pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

The nature of pain suggests that both muscular and kidney causes need to be worked up for. Most important being is kidney so you should have an urgent ultrasound of kidney, ureter and bladder so that any renal cyst, fullness or stone can be ruled out. You may also be asked for urinalysis and renal function tests by your GP.

Meanwhile, taking analgesics like acetaminophen alongwith antispasmodic like drotaverine will help. A muscle relaxant like orphenidrine or gaba pentins may also be used till renal causes are established. Warm compresses may provide some relief but work up is compulsory so please don't delay that.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me generously before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
