Suggest Treatment For Double Vision And Vertigo

Question: my uncle has been dealing with vertigo and double vision..he had cataract surgery several months ago and has been dealing with these symptoms since the surgery. He has gone to several doctors and to no avail.. they can't figure out what is going on with him? any suggestions? also he had cancer 4 years ago and had chemotherapy..

Thank you for answering the question..this makes so much sense. I gave the information to my uncle and he is so excited. He wants me to ask you another question, and he said the doctor calls his so called illness down- beating nystagmus..can you explain what this is.

Thank you, now if the lenses are incorrect..do they have a way of checking what lens is incorrect? My uncle told me that when he had his first surgery, he was already having difficulties with double vision, but they tried using correction glasses to correct it..when he had the second surgery the symptoms worsen. So my question is...is there anyway they can tell which lens is incorrect or if both lenses are incorrect? Is there a certain procedure or test they can run?
