I read your question and i understand your concern. Dizziness is a very common and mostly benign issue and is due to multiple thousand of possibilities. With your history of occasional cold and flu is the likely cause of this dizziness as these two benign issues are common causes of dizziness.

No need to worry about. It will resolve in a few days. A couple of weeks sometimes up to 4 weeks are needed for complete resolution.

Take some antivert for the relief or any other nausea or anxiety medication. meanwhile try some head balance maneuvers and balance therapy techniques. Also try to keep an eye over falling down. The fever and flu are about the only types of illnesses I ever have. I haven't had this in a while now. However, I don't know if it helps but I basically started experiencing different symptoms such as heaviness around the nose and one side oif the face after I had a tooth extraction. Apparently, the root of the tooth was embedded in my sinus. It took quite a while for the extraction to heal completely but with the heaviness I also experienced having bouts of phlegm stuck in my throat though not heavy ones but light ones. Could this be related to the heaviness in the eyes, dizziness and balance issues?

Brief Answer:
No worries. tooth extraction caused it

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me

With the history of recent tooth extraction that makes it a likely entity of this dizziness. Treat the underlying cause and use symptomatic treatment for the dizziness. It will resolve.

Any procedure that involves remotely the ear nose or throat or oral cavity results in dizziness most of the time.

I hope it helps.
