Suggest Treatment For Dizziness And Fatigue

default
Posted on Tue, 2 Feb 2016
Question: The last few nights when I go to bed, I get a dizzy sensation when I turn my head to either side. It is difficult to keep my eyes open as it is very uncomfortable, I look at the molding near the ceiling and it is moving around. Also, the numbers on the digital clock are moving up and down. This goes away in about a minute until I turn my head again. The problem is much less now than a few days ago. Problem exists only when I am in bed.

Brief Answer:
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Dizziness related to changes in body and head position ( in your case when laying down ), is most probably related to a condition known as being paroxysmal positional vertigo ( BPPV for short ).

It is a condition related to equilibrium apparatus located into inner ear.

Other less possible causes of your symptoms include labyrinthitits, a common viral infection that affects inner ear too, it could be also side effect of certain drugs ( if you use any ).

In all cases, an evaluation by an ENT Doctor is needed, to assess the correct diagnosis and, if symptoms are bothersome and last, treatment should be considered too.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
