Suggest Treatment For Diverticulitis

Question: i was diagnosed with diverticulitis on wednesday, taking antibiotics I took some pepto bismol 30 ml dose 1050 mg a few minutes ago.I took 1 aleve 220 mg and 1 tylenol 650 mg earlier this morning to control pain.I need a opinion on this, is this okay? I am also taking nexium, lisinopril, uroxatral, probiotic, cipro, flagyl.

Hi,

The pain associate with diverticulitis is caused by cramps. The best drug would be buscopan. I will recommend 10mg every 8hours. At this time, I will suggest that you stop Aleve and Tylenol.
