Question: I have been diagnosed through an MRI as having a large displaced flap tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus with tearing extending into the posterior aspect of the medial meniscus body with a small amount of mildly extruded meniscal tissue entending into the inferior coronary recess. What treatment do you suggest?

Hello sir,

I have read your question and I believe you will need arthroscopic partial meniscectomy. This is key hole surgery and you will not need any bed rest for it. You can start doing your work from next day.
If surgery is not done then your tear can progress and can get blocked in knee causing emergency.

So my recommendation, go for surgery.
