Question: I have a raised crooked type ring that is prominent on the tip of the penis and continues to the shaft cirling around back to the top of the penis making a complete cirlce. Its been there awhile but has increased over the past few months. It doesnt itch or act inflamed, but what brought it to my attention was when I was sex it hurtupon examination, it appears that it has sometype of worm type string inside of it that cuts into the tips edge where it crosses to the shaft. I thought it may be ringworm but I am unsure. I have been marred monogamously for 27 years. 47 yr old. Any ideas? Will send picture upon request only.

Brief Answer:
very concerning

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Crooked type growth that is prominent on the penis, particularly when painless and non itchy is very concerning. You need get evaluated as early as possible to rule out cancerous growth. However, this is a very very rare possibility, but still needs to be ruled out.

We cannot come to a diagnosis just by seeing picture, a physical exam and further investigations are needed.

Thanks!
