Question: I had hit my nail months ago. This has appeared on my nail and I'm worried. What should I do

Traumatic discoloration of nail is commonly encountered.
As the nail grows and is dead tissue, no intervention is required if there is no large hematoma or pressure effects.
In your case it is advisable to wait and let the nail grow. The nail discoloration will eventually disappear in 2-3 months.
Consult a dermatologist if swelling ,discharge or unbearable pain occurs.

So there is no pain whatsoever on my index finger. however I noticed there is a very light similar streak on my left toe as well. Is that of concern?
