Question: MY wife is now 27 yrs and i am 31 yrs. My wife conceived only once, 2 months after marriage and got abortion after 7 weeks due to blighted ovum. Since then we are trying to conceive for the last 6 yrs. We undergone IUI treatment for 6 times. All tests are normal except my wife's Torch panel is positive And in my wife's chromosome analysis report it found inversion in Chromosome 9. Is there no possibility for my wife conceive and what is causing not conceiving. One the Dr. has suggested to try Donor egg. Plz suggest me.

Brief Answer:
after 6 IUI , ART is the option now...explained.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for contacting healthcare magic.

I have gone through the reports and the concern is inversion of chromosome 9 . This is reproducible in the fetus as well so likely congenital anomalies may develop if conception occurs.
It is generally advised that after 6 failed IUI attempts , the patient is refered to ART centre for invitro fertilisation where egg and sperm are fertilised outside the womb and then reimplanted inside the uterus. Chances of success is 50 per cent but its a definite option now.
If all parameters are normal except torch and karyotype still stress per se ia a big factor which may cause plenty of hormonal changes in the body and prevent ovulation and proper growth of the graffian follicle.

I suggest you may go TO the ART center and enroll for Invitro fertilisation.

Brief Answer:
donor egg....explained

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the follow up.

as your wife harbours the chromosome 9 inversion ..it is transmissible to the child. So if you are contemplating ivf then donor egg would be ideal for a healthy fetus.
