Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Attaining Orgasms After Benign Enlarged Prostate Surgery

default
Posted on Sun, 26 Jul 2015
Question: Am 78 years old widower. Post benign enlarged prostate surgery in 2012, it is hard to achieve orgasm while masturbating despite good erection and adequate pre-cum. The act goes on 20/25 minutes and do not feel satisfied without orgasm. Before surgery there was no problem. Is this due to prostate surgery and if so, is there any medicine to correct this problem? Creatinine is 1.50.
Am diabetic for 4 years and suffer fro high BP for 7 years. Both under control with medicines like Volibo .30 and Nexovas 5. Am taking anti-depressants for 14 years. (Nite rest 10mg, Caprilax 10mg, and Aztor 20, 1OD at night and Urimax .40)

Brief Answer:
likely due to prostate surgery and other factors, difficult to treat

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Your problem has begun after prostate surgery. Before surgery there was no problem. This suggests possible damage to nerve supplying penis while surgery. As well as reduction in prostate volume leads to very less semen production or no semen at all. These factors are commonly responsible for sexual dysfunction after prostate surgery in most of the patients.

You are suffering from anorgasmia (no orgasm). Apart from prostate surgery contributing factors to these problems are diabetes since 4 years, hypertension since 7 years and cipralex since 14 years.

Probably no drug will help if nerve damage is the main reason. However considering presence of erection and precum we can try with tadalafil or cabergoline with testosterone.

Tadalafil is 5- PDE inhibitor group of drug and used in psychogenic erectile dysfunction and helps in psychogenic anorgasmia also.

Some studies have reported benefit of cabegoline in anorgasmia.

Serum testosterone level should be checked. If it is low, supplement can be given.

Discuss above aspect with your treating doctor and try the medicines.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Dr.Chintan Solanki.

Brief Answer:
You need to consult doctor for prescription

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Tadalafil(cialis) is prescription drug(dose ranges from 10 to 40 mg) and you need to consult doctor for take the prescription. Online prescription is not valid. I am sorry for limitation from our side. It is better to take medicine after consulting local doctor so any side effect occurs by chance doctor can provide immediate help.
Tadalafil should be taken only before 2 hours of sex, not daily.

Hope this answers your concern.

Take care.
