Brief Answer:
Ant-depressants will help.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr. XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

I went through your query and can understand your concern regarding your mother. From what you have mentioned, it is highly likely that she might be having a depressive episode. depression is a condition which is characterised by low mood, which frequently results in irritability and causes anger outbursts and seemingly trivial things. In addition, other symptoms of low body energy, getting tired easily, sleep and appetite disturbances might be present.

I think you should seek a psychiatric consultation for your mother so that her condition can be evaluated and necessary treatment started. She would respond to medications like escitalopram or sertraline. Current lot of anti-depressants are quite safe and effective. With adequate management, I am sure your mother will feel better and recover soon.

I do hope I was able to answer your query. Please let me know if I can help you any further way. I will be glad to offer my best possible help.

Wishing you mother a great health ahead,

Best wishes.
