Question: hi doc...i have not yet had my periods...its to be on 6th oct...but it usually delays by a week normally...but today is 21 oct...can i start wit femilon today and stop after 3-4 days?? wil i get my periods then??

Foremost, you should go for a home urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy (if you are sexually active).

If pregnancy test results are negative you can take norethisterone (progesterone) pills for withdrawal bleeding (in oestrogen primed endometrium) after consulting your physician.

Femilon containing estrogen and progesterone, both the hormone, so side effects are more with femilon in comparison to norethisterone. You can use femilon as a contraceptive pill for 21 days.
