Question: I have CHF, AF, and Endog. Depression. I take Nebilet, perindopril, digoxin, eliquis, spiranoloctone, thuiamine and fish-oil for heart and paroxetine for depression. I suffer from serious daytime sleepiness and inability to get to sleep at night. I have been using strong coffee in the morning to get me going as this is a major problem. I use a CPAP for Sl. Apnoea also, and it is adjusted and fits well. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer: Sleep studies plus drug interactions should be chk Detailed Answer: Hi, I would be concerned in such patients who do not have proper night time sleep and excessive daytime sleepiness. This would aggravate the depression and indirectly heart disease. At this point I would review the medicines once again and see if the medications interact one another leading to inadequate dose and treatment for depression. CPAP should help you sleep well at night if not it should be rechecked with the Sleep specialist for the change in settings. Sleep studies may the next best investigation under the care of specialist. You should take a regular appnt with sleep specialist first. Hope this gives you a direction.
