Suggest Treatment For Cuts On The Penis

Posted on Wed, 18 Jan 2017
Question: Hey Dr,

Recently I think I might of torn the skin on the top left side of my penis where the vein runs through from masterbating too often. I have taken a picture of the cut which should be attached. I am just wondering what I should do to help it heal? For starters obviously i'd stop masterbating but should I use any creams like Vasoline? How long would it take to heal as sell? I've also never had sex before so it wouldnt be an std or anything.

Kind Regards,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Take treatment suggested below

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for your query, based on the facts and photograph that you have posted it appears that you have injured a superficial vein on shaft of the penis due to dry ,rough and vigorous shaking of your penis while masturbating .

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

It should heal up within a week

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
