Suggest Treatment For Cut In Vaginal Lip

Question: Hi I made the mistake of trying to shave my pubic hair yesterday with an electric razor and cut myself. I cut myself on the inside of the lip near the vaginal opening. It is almost as if I tried to shave off my skin so their is a small sliver of skin hanging there. I have been keeping it clean for the past day and putting neosporin on it but I wanted to know of that skin will fall off like a scab as I was told it would? I feel like it will never scab in order to come off because of the moist environment the cut/sliver of hanging skin is in.

No, the shaved skin is like a dead skin, it will separate sooner or later as it is not getting its blood supply. This is true, that this may take a time longer than expected as the area is moist, but without getting its nutrition supply it cannot survive for long.

In future you should not repeat the same mistake as this area is very sensitive & soft, thus very prone to damage.

You may plan a Gynecologist visit now if you want it to be removed earlier, or, If after 2-3 days you don't feel any improvement or if it is getting infected, you should visit a Gynecologist for expert opinion.
