Such symptoms are usually caused due to certain viral infections. Antibiotics are ineffective. Some antiallergic syrup needs to be given. Relent Syr. contains a mucolytic along with an antiallergic and can be given. The fever needs to be controlled by the use of paracetamol and tepid sponging. Saline nasal drops like Nasoclear may be given in case of nasal block.
Such infections usually take 5-7 days to recover. But if the child grows lethargic, you would have to take him to a pediatrician.
