Brief Answer:
Rule out pancreatitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Burning in the upper part of the body is most likely to be gastritis and it does sometimes radiate to the back. It is highly unlikely to be costochondritis as costochondritis mostly causes pricking type of pain and not burning type, besides it cannot be seen on the x ray.

Here are my suggestions

1. Along with the pills given to eradicate H pylori I would like you to take Syrup Xylocaine viscus , it causes soothing effect and helps reduce the burning
2. I would like you to get Serum lipase and serum amylase as most often pancreatitis causes abdominal pain radiating to the back
3. Avoid milk, milk products, alcohol and caffeine
4. Eat on time, at regular intervals and also make sure not to go to bed immediately after dinner
5. Avoid smoking

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me. If you can attach your reports I would be happy to go through them to give you a second opinion

I wish you good health and a speedy recovery

Regards
