Brief Answer:
It is corneal thinning caused by lasik surgery.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having corneal thinning following Lasik surgery.

This occurs because of corneal thinning caused by lasik surgery.
This requires treatment by corneal collagen crosslinking procedure.

If this is not treated then it will cause further thinning and further deterioration of vision.
However with treatment results are good with improvement of vision.

Hence I advice you to wait as per advice of your doctor and if it worsens then to undergo corneal collagen crosslinking.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.

Brief Answer:
Corneal collagen cross linking is not an laser procedure.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

1. The progression will not occur in all the cases and in few cases further progression may not occur. Progression if occurs takes over 3-6 months.

2. It may occur in other eye also but the chance is relatively rare.

3. Contact lenses are one of the mode of treatment and will help.

4.If you are comfortable and vision is improving then spectacles can be used.

5.You can work on the computer.

6. Corneal collagen cross linking is not a laser procedure. The procedure takes about 15 minutes and usually one week of rest is required after the procedure after which you can resume your activities.

Hope I have answered your questions and the information is helpful to you.
