Brief Answer:
Pelvic floor spasm, urinary infection to be excluded

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
Constipation, bearing down hard and lifting heavy things increase your intra-abdominal pressure. This can produce a spasm in the pelvic floor muscles.
You have not written your urinary result in detail. If it is a small increase in leukocytes without nitrates and symptoms, it may be ignored. If not, you should get a urine culture done.
In the mean while eat a wholesome food with plenty of fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water and fluids so that you can avoid constipation. It would also improve your urine out put.
You are welcome to ask me any query, you might have.
Wish you good health

Thats different from a cystocele?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Noble Zachariah (10 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Yes.

Detailed Answer:
Cystocele is the bulging of the urinary bladder into the vagina and occurs when the supportive tissue between a woman's bladder and vaginal wall weakens and stretches.
The cystocele becomes bigger when the intrabdominal pressure is raised, like a hernia.
Your symptoms are more like a spasm of the pelvic floor muscle.
Both can co-exist.

What does leukocytes mean when present in urine and not a uti
doctor
Answered by Dr. Noble Zachariah (9 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Inflamation of the urinary tract.

Detailed Answer:
Leukocytes are white blood cells (WBC) that work with the immune system to defend against infectious disease. Damage to the kidneys, ureters, urethra or bladder can cause leukocytes to appear. They can also be triggered when foreign materials are found in the body.
The significance of leukocytes depend on their number. Small increase in numbers can occur with minor inflammation or sub clinical infection.
Let me know how many leukocytes / HPF is present in your urine and that will help decide whether it is significant to be investigated or not.

Brief Answer:
Not to be ignored.

Detailed Answer:
Leukocyte count of 70 to 125 should not be ignored.
Don't go by symptoms alone to diagnose UTI. Best would be to do a urine culture.
Another explanation could be that with bearing down hard, the urinary bladder might get traumatized and the leukocytes in the urine can be in response to the inflammation so produced.
What I would advise would be to take plenty of fiber and if necessary an osmotic laxative to avoid constipation. Then check the urine again. If it is gone, it solves the problem.
If you have any query any time, you are most welcome.
Wish you a good day and good health.

Brief Answer:
Improving

Detailed Answer:
So the leukocyte count is coming down.
Drink plenty of water and cranberry juice.
Avoid constipation and bearing down.
Check again in a week's time. If persistent , it is better to get a urine culture done.
