Suggest Treatment For Constipation
Question: Hello,
I had constipations and i drove scooty around 150km and then 2 days after i got a small abscess and with in next 3 or 4 days it was around pea size and then i went to doc and told him that i might have hemorrhiods si doc just gave me some antibiotics and anovate. Same day i felt some wetness at bottom and found it burst and startd drain for next 4 days and size become very small. Then i met with another doc to make sure everything is fine then doc dis DRE and found it was perianal abscess which was healing well and gave me fucidin and ask me to contine antibiotics and gave me diclofase for 3 days.everthing seems fine and applying creams and its now very small. So below are my questions.
1. is it healing fine.
2. Can this be fitsula in future
3. Do i need to go for any tests

Your abscess is healing. The points in favor are
-its size is decreased
-your doctor has examined and told the same
-you have reduction in discharge and pain.
Since it burst open and healing it is unlikely to become fistula later . Fistula uncommon with superficial abscess.
As such now no need for any further tests as they won't add anything extra. You just have to continue your medications as prescribed and also perineal wounds take little more time to heal.
In between if you notice any pus discharge then it needs to be taken for pus culture study. Otherwise no problem. Some watery discharge may come for few days.

Can you please answer few points and i shall be very thankfull to you.
1. Doc gave me antibiotics for 8 days and today is last day for antibiotics. Do you think i need to take for 2 more days.
2. Can i continue gym and playing cricket.
3. Do you think i had perianal abscess due to constipation and long ride or there might be other reason
4. Can i continue use of fucidin cream
5. Is this ok if i will meet with Doc again this saturday

Don't worry about fistula. The mechanism of fistula formation and your abscess formation are different. Just keep the area clean and avoid constant pressure over it and also constipation.

Hi,
Thank you very much Dr. you answers are very helpful and i am feeling better now as i was so worried due to all i have read about Fistula and my abscess was automatically drained so was little worried.
i am taking sitz bath around 2 to 3 times and using fucidin and trying to keep area clean. Now as i have very small lump so i believe that skin will absorb. Also there is no pain from last 4 days so i Feeling fine as this point also your answers really helped and 1 another thing these antibiotics messed up my tongue taste but i am drinking more than 8 to 10 glass water everyday.
if you have any advice or any suggestion i will be very thankful to you.. but you seems to have answered most of my questions and i believe that i will be fine like before soon.

For your taste of tongue, once you stop antibiotics it will become normal. Still you may take sweet chewing gums to change the taste. Continue sitz bath and fucidin. Sitz bath enhances healing.

I met with Doc today but he didn't check and asked me to take antibiotics (satranidazole and serratiopeptidose and diclofnac potassium) for next 3 days and after that asked to take BTR for 5 days and then asked to meet after 8 days. Do you think evrything is ok. sometime when i wash i feel very little pain while i touch but size seems to be decreasing . Do you think it will take 15 to 20 days to fully heal.
