default
Posted on Mon, 16 Feb 2015
Question: I have cold and blocked nose, along with severe headache for the last 3 days. I tried paracetamol (Crocin) for headache but it is not helping. I am looking for a strong medicine for my headache. Please suggest a tablet for headache which gives me lasting relief for 3-4 hours.
Cold is in control now without any medicine, but nose is still blocked.

Brief Answer:
Pracetamol is not for headache

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.

Paracetamol better works for fever and is not meant for headache. For headache, you should try ibuprofen 20 mg BD or as required.

Nose block will clear when cold will get better. Antiallergic medicine like cetirizine, etc (usually present in cold medicines) helps clear the secretions and blocked nose.

Hope it helps.
