Suggest Treatment For Cold And Cough In Infant
Question: Hi,my 2.5 mnth baby is suffering from cold & cough from last 15 days.we consulted doctor & he gave maxtra & mucolite but it did not help at all..he git viral then we consulted another doctor now he asked us to giv atarax & ascoril ls drops with T98..is it ok to giv atarx & ascoril to such young baby? I m little worried

Usually cold and cough may last in babies for one to two weeks.
If prolonged it could be Bronchiolitis, that could be the reason your doctor has prescribed atarax and ascoril.
They are safe and help in decreasing symptoms.

If still not improving consult with him again and enquire if nebulisations with saline would help.
Many times at this age saline nebulisations will help to improve faster.
