Suggest Treatment For Coeliac Disease

Question: I have Celiac. Was diagnosed 6 weeks ago by biopsy. I am now on a stricked gluteen free diet. My main symptom, diarrhea (watery stools up to 20 times a day) has now dissapeted and i no longer live with imodium and my bathroom is no longer the romm i spend most of my time. My other aches and pains have not disappeared the worst being muscle pain in my legs ( especially left), cramps and joint pains and lately i started to have sores and burning in my mouth especialy my tongue. The doctor has just prescribed prednisonole 10 mg twice per day dor 10 days. He indicated if my aches and pain are better we could cut down the dosage at that point in time until i no longer need the medications. Are steroids safe and what would be the side effects of a short treatment of Wysilone 5

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.The cause of your body ache,muscle cramps and tongue problem are because of celiac disease leading to non absorption of essential vitamin D and B12.You may get blood test done to confirm the same.
Meanwhile you may take vitamin as said above after getting it prescribed from your doctor.
The steroid are very safe on short term and should be taken as advised.
