Question: I have a feeling in my inner ear like a fluid is there. It is uncomfortable but no painful. No detectable temperature. Can the old fashioned remedy of putting warm oil in the outer ear canal help this?

Brief Answer:
Need evaluation. Warm oil may help.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Ear fullness with fluid like symptoms are due to congestion of ear or eustachian tube defects. a simple cold and flu or recent sinus infecrion can involve ear this way too. Same feeling happens when there is a wax blocking external ear. Putting warm oil as old fashion remedy helps only in outer ear problems like wax blockage.
Although you dont have any pain or dizzziness , i would still want you to get an ear exam to sort out the etiology. Till them use some decongestants and tylenol and chew a gum to see if the fullness is relieved.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
