Brief Answer: hi, intravenous antibiotic, blood test and evaluat Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX in my opinion, if a patient with your history comes to my clinic I would advise the patient to get complete blood counts done to know the level of infection. I would also recommend the patient to get a throat swab for culture and sensitivity . In this test you will come to know which bacteria is causing the infection and which antibiotic the bacteria will respond to. In my opinion, you may need intravenous antibiotics for 3 to 5 dsys. You can continue your hypothyroid treatment. Your tonsil infection is not related to hypothyroidism. But since you arer taking homeopathy medicine for that, I have no idea regarding that treatment. So I would advise you to meet an ENT specialist and get yourself evaluated and treated.

Brief Answer: hi XXXXXXX continue same treatment for 3 days. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX if I were your treating doctor, I would ask the patient to continue bactoclav 625 mg for another 3ays along with anti inflammatory medicine like tab Enzoflam twice daily for another 3 days so that you would finish one week course oral antibiotics. Mean while go to any casuality, or general physician, or any laboratory and get these test done. Investigation: Complete blood count, Erythrocytes sedimation rate. Peripheral blod smear. random blood sugar, Blood urea, serum creatinine. THROAT SWAB FOR CULTURE AND SENSITVITY. This test will take 2 days for the report. Until then continue same treatment as advised earlier . Please inform me the test result and I would suggest the treatment after seeing the report.

Brief Answer: root cause in persistent and resistant infection Detailed Answer: Hi, root cause is that your throat is infected by a bacteria. It is persistent and resistant to treatment as well. Medicine in tablet form doesn't have enough dosage to control the infection. So you need intravenous antibiotic which has more dosage to control the infection. In my opinion, your throat infection is because of dry dusty hot weather, intake of cold items, oily food, intake of contaminated water , spread of infection from any other person suffering from the same problem, and also working in AC.
