Suggest Treatment For Chronic Sinusitis
Question: Hello doctor ..
I have a problem of chronic sinusitis along with phlegm that never goes ..
I went to the ENT specialist who told me Rays must work
And it turned out rays of work and there is a deviation in the septum
The problem is that the doctor did not say the cause of the infection , but he said if you want to breathe better should the surgery
What do you think about it Should the surgery to get rid of chronic inflammation

You are most probably having chronic allergic sinusitis with PND

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query , seen your pictures and understand your concern.
After reading your clinical history & seen pictures it appears that you are most probably having chronic allergic sinusitis with PND (Post nasal discharge or phlegm).
In my opinion , after seeing your CT scan picture you will need endoscopic sinus surgery with septoplasty . But even after surgery , you will need to continue allergy spray & saline nasal wash or spray , to prevent recurrence of sinusitis .
Main reason for your sinusitis with phelgum is allergy , deviation of septum & turbinates enlargement .
If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice
regular Saline nasal rinse or spray thrice daily ,
salt water gargle twice daily &
Combination Steroid nasal spray with antihistamine 2 puff each nostril twice daily to control allergy & nose congestion .
Gargle with water 20 mins after nasal spray use to remove any spray coming to throat .
You will get relief .
You will need prescription for spray .

But do I get rid of the infection without surgery ( very expensive )
Knowing that I have used a lot of medications listed
Saline nasal spray
And gargling with salt water
But I do not know how much it must continue
