Question: I have been seeing my primary care physician for 30 years. In 2007, I developed accute Pancreatitis. In 2008, they found a large cyst at the head of the pancreas blocking the enzymes and they started to destroy the pancreas. by the time they decided to drain it, the cyst st the head of the pancreas was 6.5 cm.I was put on a mild dose of hydrocodone. In 2011, the cyst kept returning and my pain meds were upped to oxycodone as well a a benzodiazepine. In XXXXXXX of 2012 It was found that I had a strong strain of MRSA and was hospitalized for the boil and a particularly large abscess. They were growing under my arms and in the grown section. I was put on 100 mcg fentynal patch, 10 a month and 150 8mg of dilaudid.as well as 1mg of xanax 1during the day and 2 before night as I was having nightmares. Brief Answer:
You seem to have chronic pancreatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

First of all I should say that I can not find a question in your query. So I will do my best to give you the thoughts which might be helpful for you.
Are you able to tell when was your last abdominal CT? What was the reason of acute pancreatitits (stones, alcohol?)
According to the medicines you take, I assume that you do suffer from the abdominal pain due to chronic pancreatitis. The main reason of the pain are in such cases calcium stones in the pancreas blocking the pancreatic ducts. Luckily we know how to help in case of this stones. The first step is a procedure called ERCP (I am pretty sure you have had few of them during the pancreatitis episodes). It is possible to remove the stones and to place the stent draining the pancreas and decreasing the pain.
If this does not help, we are able to perform surgery of the pancreas.

I do not know if and when you have had ERCP done, but it seems like you need it to diagnose and possibly treat the pain.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
