I am so sorry to hear about this kidney disease. There is no strong and incontrovertible evidence that diabetes would eventually cause kidney disease. Though there are some observational reports which tend to suggest PPi's could cause such, they are largely disregarded and not yet accepted as a cause.
In all, there is no test to make this difference. However, incontrovertible and strong evidence gives credence to diabetes and not PPI.

I don't have any other abnormalities such as proteinuria ,if it was due to DM would you see those .That is why I thought about PPI the only abnormality I have is high creatinine

There is little evidence to suggest this. Proteinuria is not a constant feature in renal diseases caused by diabetes and it is not specific to it either. Like I mentioned, PPI would be the last drug to be cited at this time because there are no reports supporting that.
