Suggest Treatment For Chronic Hepatitis C
Question: i had to go through 2 treatments to get remission of my hep c . now i have chronic fatigue memory lose dizziness etc. doc told me i am unable to work for many reasons interferon was part of both treatments or Pegasus program pills and injection 1 time a week for 11 months . 6months virious is back so waited2 more month for total of 8 , started 2nd treatment with6 more pills 2 every 8 hours a day and the all 1st. treatmnt meds all together for 5.5 months . now my mind and body are alive but not living . no income . i am 51 years old the newest treatment was not available . any lawsuits to help me? 4 years with no income , sold everything , you need money to give answer. i have nothing.

Chronic hepatitis C is curable.
I like to know what is your HCV genotype .Treatment success depends on HCV genotype.
Patient variables tend to correlate with sustained virologic responsiveness
Treatment with the combination of PEG IFN and ribavirin
increases responsiveness (frequency of sustained virologic response/SVR) to as high as 55% overall,to >40% in genotypes 1 and 4, and to >80% in genotypes 2 and 3.
Duaration of courses also varies .For patients treated with combination IFNribavirin,therapy for those with genotype 1 should last a full 48
weeks, whereas in those with genotypes 2 and 3, a 24-week course
of therapy suffices.
Tailoring of treatment duration is often required based on rapidity of response or associated cofactors(gender,obesity, insulin resistance, and type 2 diabetes mellitus)
In your case you needed 2nd course for SVR.
Absence of HCV RNA in serum and liver have been documented a decade after successful therapy, and “relapses” 2 years after sustained responses are almost
unheard of.
For all practical purposes,you willbe cleared of the virus eventually.
Some of the side effects of therapy which you are having will gradually wear off and you will be back to your work and employment. Remain assured.

doc. i had genotype 1 and 4 , and still suffer from chronic fatigue , my body and mind shut down 7 to 10 times a day so server i blink my eyes and they do not open back up for 1-2 seconds and eyes and mind are not focused on what i was doing , even when driving .i can not finish a meal with out almost falling asleep . my wife see it every day, if i am doing anything my hands ,mind do not work together i often or always dropping whats in my hands and forget what i was doing . if any distractions while trying to do something i completely forget what i was doing. is there any class actions lawsuits on the medications that did this to me ? i was always a leader now i can not even follow what i am told to do. i do not understand what i am told by any body anywhere any time.

weeks.
Discontinuation for any reason are less frequent in patients treated
with Pegasys (peginterferon alfa-2a) than standard-dose PEG IFN-α2b.
In view of chronic HCV infection and increased liver-related mortality,the benefit of treatment far outweighs short-term CNS side effects.
