Question: Medical History - CC Shortness of breathe & Chest Pain

I have been overweight since I was 6 years old, in middle school I was basically skinny, one year in high school, and 1 year in college too. I always get the weight back and with it a tightening in my left chest area when I breathe in deeply. I got an EKG, ECO, and Stress Test at a cardiologists office and its apparently not my heart.

Age 11 to Current - Sometimes after I urinate my urethra in my penis will burn and get worse until it just goes away 5-10 mins later.

From 13 years old - current I have been smoking (I have a history of lung cancer in my family not from genetics; caused by smoking) I’ve also taken a decent amount of drugs in my day.

Ever since the age of 15 I have had a random sensation in my right brachial plexus/back trapezoid-shoulder area that feels like a really painful pop goes off like I've been shot and just goes away. One time it popped and a pain persisted in that one spot all day, really painful.

Age 17 I got a kidney stone, I and the Doctor blamed it on dehydration.

At age 18 my sigmoid colon permanently enlarged causing IBS (Colonscopy scheduled to check for polyps since I have a history of colon cancer in my families genetics)

Age 19 if I eat the wrong food, usually seems to be anything fast food related I start to have a pain that starts in my shoulders and spreads throughout my back and neck and only gets worse over time, the only way I have learned to end the pain is to go to sleep, breathing in also seems to worsen it. Fibromyalgia?

Age 20 - ACID Reflux Disease (I have terrible heart burn if I eat anything greasy, spicy, or full of sauces, if i drink coffee, or if I don't get enough sleep)

Age 21 I get vertigo and lightheadedness episodes that persisted till about 3-4 months ago. I also get almost like a flash of lightheadedness when it is completely silent around me and a noise goes off like a door opening or floor cracking.

(Age 21 - Current) I get episodes of floaters in my vision flying in all directions, hundreds of them, like shooting stars in different directions that have flashing lights in them

(Age 21 - Current) I get very mild aching pains that radiate down my arm into certain fingers. Pain usually starts from the ulnar nerve and radiates to my pinky and ring finger on the left hand. Sometimes the middle finger. Right arm seems to do the same but less constant.

Age 22/New Symptoms! (CC) - My heart seems to skip beats all the time, especially after I smoke or when I'm laying down on my side trying to go to sleep. Its like a pressure that starts in my sternum area when breathing out usually but sometimes when breathing in and I get a sense of heightened awareness and fear of not being able to breathe out or in for just a second and then I'm all ok. It might just be anxiety but thats a big part of why I am here today; shortness of breath that has seem to have gone away very recently, but now I have a dull pain just below my clavicle about 1 or 2 inches to the left of the superior part of my sternum. I have been smoking since age 14 so I am hoping that it isn't Pancoast tumor.

— I have been recently diagnosed with mildly high cholesterol and herpes from blood work. My kidneys, pancreas, gallbladder, stomach, and urinary bladder were recently ultra sounded. No problems found except that my bladder mildly retains urine after urination.

Brief Answer:
Need to rule out cardiac cause first.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Thanks for the detailed history.

In my opinion your current symptoms are related to heart issues. Risk factors for heart disease in you are
1. Obesity
2. Smoking
3. Irregular heart beats (missing beats).

So better to get done ECG, 2D ECHO and stress test (TMT) to rule out cardiac cause.
Also get done chest x ray to rule out smoking related lung issues. And no need to worry for pancoast tumour as you are too young to have it. But if you still continue smoking you may get this.

Also get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out pulmonary causes for breathing difficulties.
Your left hand aching pain can be due to vitamin b 12 deficiency, as it is commonly seen in obese smokers.

So better to consult doctor and discuss all these.
And loose weight as much as you can.
Quit smoking as soon as possible. It is not a good habit to have.

Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.

I did the ekg, stress test, and 2D Echo. My Cardiologist said my heart is fine. What could this pain possibly be? Do you believe it's for sure not any type of lung cancer? And can you send prescriptions to get a chest x-Ray over this website?

Brief Answer:
get done chest x ray to rule out lung cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your reply.
If your cardiac work up has been done recently (less than 1 month) than no need to get done. But if more than 1 month, than get it done as your cholesterol levels are high.
So we need to rule out cardiac cause first.

And lung cancers occur at old age ,mostly after 50 years but can occur at younger age. So less likely in your case. And you need chest x ray to rule out this. So get done chest x ray.
And sorry, I can not write prescription on this website. You can consult your primary doctor about this.
Hope I have solved your query. If you are not having further queries, please close the conversation and rate the answer. Wish you good health. Thanks.
