Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation On Penis

default
Posted on Tue, 9 Sep 2014
Question: Hi, I have recently had unprotected sex with a female (i am a male) and am anxious about STI's, I am currently offshore and unable to go for a text for approx 4 weeks, which I will do. Anyway, I have taken blind treatment (doxycycline, Ciprofloxicin and metronidazole to cover). About 6 days into the 7 days doxy treatment I started to feel a constant burning sensation in my penis (glands area). I'm worried as to what this might be; about 3-4 days ago I was trying to squeeze my penis, trying to force out a discharge (which was not there), maybe this is the reason, urethral trauma?

Thanks for your reply.

The girl was a 30 year old white female from the UK who has two children.

The sex was vaginal sex and I received oral. The encounter was 11 days ago and lasted possibly 15 minutes.

I have spoken to the girl and she has been for (ALL) test and she will get results in 7-10 days.

I have a burning sensation In my penis (for 2 days), occasional warm feeling in my lower abdomen, obvious anxiety and regret.

I finished my doxycycline yesterday and took 2g of metronidazole last night.

Brief Answer:
Most symptoms are due to anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hello young fellow,

Welcome again to the forum and thanks a lot for sending the important details.

After reading your query completely and analyzing it with my best clinical acumen there appears to be least possibility of any major type of sexually transmitted disease in yourself.

To tell you medically most of the sexually transmitted diseases manifests itself in form of either a discharge from urethra, redness or sore or blisters on or around genital area.

You do not posses any of these symptoms enumerated above. The part of your symptoms are related to anxiety basically.

There could be a possibility for urinary tract infection in your case so drink plenty of water.

A good part is you had gone for your known person and not with a commercial sex worker so the chances of any major STDs is negligible.

Drink plenty of water to flush your urinary system and relieve your anxiety.

Hope these informations will help you. If you have further queries I will be happy to help.

"Wish you good health"
