Hello,
Yes he may have an std which could be a chlamydia , ureaplasma, or gonorrhoea infection or just a fungal element causing sore.

I myself have had no symptoms other than the fact that my discharge has been extra white. It has no odor and does not burn or itch just very white in color. I am getting trated tomorrow but i am so scared and i have to wait a week for results. If we had sex a month ago would i show symptoms of aomething incurable such as herpes? I am just very upset that his doctor never actually tested him he just gave him a script for bactrum and amithryicin (spelling?) he just said it doesnt look like anything but he never actually tested him just wrote him those two prescriptions. Are those to treat stds? Im just very nervous and i have to wait a week so i am trying to get all the answers that i can.

Brief Answer:
yes, possible stds

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am afraid those two meds both bactrim and azithromycin are for treatment of stds and/or accompanied urinary tract infection. In your case in absence of any foul smell or itching, the discharge being white is often normal if its thin and homogenous, which is cervical mucous discharge. But as you are in a relationship with him, so an std screen would be a wise idea to rule it out completely.
Ideally the doctor should have done a urethral swab culture test which would have been definitive.

Thats what i said too i dont understand why andoctor would do that. My ex is trying to tell me thatbhe probably had it from over a year ago? Is it possible that he would just now be seeing symptoms or would they have shown up earlier because he has done nothing but lie to me. We broke up about two weeks ago whochbis around the last time that we had sex? Does his mean he was unfaithful or is it more likely that he picked something else up in the past two weeks? I just dont see how symtoms would show up a year later like he is claiming because he wont admit to sleepong with anyone else. I went today and the doctor did a urine sample because she didnt think an exam was necessary because she said inwould have visible symptoms of the stds that require an exam

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It is unlikely that he would be asymptomatic for a year long. it is likely that he may have become symptomatic recently and possibly through another partner. As you do not have any symptoms , so unlikely that you would have transmitted the infection to him but there is a possibility that he may have, so urine culture for yourself by your doctor was an acceptable and logical approach.

Okay im sorry one more question inreally appreciate all of your help. How long would it take for a herpes outbreak to occur. I have no marks or blisters but his primary reason for going was because there was a few bumps around the head of his penis and the base of his shaft. He said that the doctor examined them and squeezed them and said that they did not appear to be herpes? Would he be able to tell just by examining them? What else would cause pimple like bumps on the tip of the penis? At first he told me just around the shaft which made me think razor burn or ingrown hair but what would cause this on the tip of the penis and would the doctor know just by examining that they were not herpes?? Sorry so many questions i am very anxious i keep examining myself and i have no sores or blister pimple looking marks but i am just very afraid

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The pimple bumps over penile head if they were not clear fluid filled vesicles but just bumps then they are unlikely to be herpes but possibly MOLLUSCUM lesions which are again viral lesions and can be sexually transmitted.
The incubation period of herpes is 7-10 days before lesions shall appear.
