Brief Answer:
The risk is very less.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome to HCM.

The risk of getting HIV from single unprotected sex is very less even though your partner is positive so don't get worried or tensed. You said your partner was neat and clean which is also favourable point.

Burning in the genitals might be due to some other reason not HIV. Consult any dermatologist to rule out the cause and follow the treatment regime. As for now you need to get tested after 1 month with 4th generation test to confirm your current status.

Thank You

Dear Doc,

Thank you so much for your response aim much relieved now, just for my curiosity what might be the percentage of catching an HIV with my kind of exposure. And my burning in genital started (Today its reduced) right after our brief intercourse what could be the reason.

Awaiting for your response.

Brief Answer:
It could be due to bad hygeine.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome back and thanks for follow-up.

I am very happy to hear that you are feeling relaxed now. The risk of getting HIV from your exposure is very less below 0.1% and burning in genitals after sexual act could be due to bad genital hygeine or urine infection so don't get tensed or fear and take treatment for the same. Be relaxed and move on in life happily. For any query get back to me again.

Thank You
