Suggest Treatment For Burning Pain Between The Shoulder Blades

Question: two days ago I suddenly developed a burning pain between my shoulder blades. The next day it had spread to my whole left side, front and back from my waist to my jaw. I can't take a deep breath and nothing I do - taking Aleve and Ibuprophen is helping. I haven't had any injuries and I don't know if I should just wait it out, or go to a doctor.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

Burning pain over shoulder blades and spreading to left side waist to jaw since 2 days should be evaluated further.It may be due to musculo-skeletal or stress or deficiency of vitamin B12 or due to nerve compression or Thyroid disorder,etc.

Since you have already tried OTC pain killer like Aleve and Ibuprofen without much relief,I will want to rule out other causes as I mentioned.

So,I will suggest you to undergo routine blood works,X-ray scan,EKG to rule out heart problem.

You should consult to your doctor for further help and at present you can have a good nerve analgesic like pregabalin on prescription of your doctor. It will be helpful.
