Suggest Treatment For Bumps In Vaginal Area

default
Posted on Fri, 12 Aug 2016
Question: I used wrong Razor & now I have bumps all over my vaginal area. What is troubling is where it is because there is no hair where the bumps appear. This was back in March. The bumps will not go away. The area was extremely itchy, red, and was burning/sort of painful. Uncomfortable. I used monistat & the symptoms had gone away but the bumps remained.

By wrong Razor, I mean I had used an old dull one because I grabbed wrong one from cabinet.

Brief Answer:
.FOLLICULITIS

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings,

I don't think it is because of old razor. It looks like an allergic folliculitis, meaning hair root infections.
Added to that, you must be having a fungal infection, and that is the reason it disappeared after monistat.

Now you can continue applying monistat with some antimicrobial ointments. If no relief after 2 week , ointments with low dose steroids may also be tried like Clobetazole topical, PREFERABLY AFTER CONSULTING A DERMATOLOGIST.

You should be using cotton underwear and panty-liners. soaps or irritant solution may be avoided.

Hope my answer helps you.
