Brief Answer:
Herpes progenitalis most probably

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HCM...

I read history and looked at photo. I deeply feel that most probably you may be having a viral infection called herpes progenitalis. You had unprotected oral sex. Probably it may be the reason. It is an STD. HSV type I and II Virus are the culprit. Most common oral virus is HSV type I. You consult the dermatologist for the firm diagnosis. Blood tests may be done like ... HSV I and II antibodies. And HIV should be ruled out.

I would suggest...

- antiviral like oral acyclovir in proper doses
- antiviral cream of acyclovir
- immunobooster like levamisole

You may obtain the prescription from a local doctor.

Avoid unprotected sex.. And continue treatment under observation of dermatologist.
Herpes progenitalis is a controllable disease..it has tendency to relapse off and on.

I hope this would help.

Thanks.

What do you mean by HIV should be ruled out? Meaning I should take a test? Is there anyone out there got infected by having unprotected insertive felatio?

Brief Answer:
Herpes progenitalis most probably

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome back..

I can understand your concern for genital lesion.

Herpes progenitalis is a very common problem. When it occurs on lips, it is called herpes simplex labialis. The virus is same.

Fellatio can lead to genital infection.

HIV is also sexually transmitted condition. Herpes progenitalis is likely to occur in HIV positive patients...So, it should be also ruled out.

I always advise HIV Test in my patients having any bacterial, fungal or viral infections. Advising the test for HIV does not mean that one has HIV infection. It is just for patient's benefit. Before any surgery, doctors advise HIV test.
There are many tests for HIV infection. Elisa test, western plot..etc

Kindly do not be tense. Herpes progenitalis is not a serious condition. But, relapses might cause harassment... So, You just consult the dermatologist and have proper diagnosis and perfect treatment.

Thanks..
