Brief Answer:
Ganglion cyst

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to see that you are having problems with a bump on your hand. This bump looks like a ganglion cyst. These cysts are very common and are not dangerous. They are sometimes called Bible cysts, Because of prior treatment of taking a big book like the bible and hitting the cyst to rupture it with the book. It can be surgically removed or drained but they usually come back.

If you feel strongly about having it removed then see a hand surgeon.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
