Suggest Treatment For Bruised And Swollen Forehead
Question: My friend has hurt her forehead and developed a round, painful swelling which is blue-black in colour. She is 45. Please suggest an immediate medication which helps relieve the pain and reduces the swelling. Please also suggest the appropriate dosage. Thank you.

The best initial most treatment for such type of injury is local icing and consumption of ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day.
Icing would result in cessation of bleeding taking below the skin.The blue black colour of swelling is due to the accumulated blood there which eventually gets absorbed by the body gradually.
Ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory analgesic and would take care of inflammation and pain.
