Brief Answer:
Go for urine examination once.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

Your iron deficiency anemia is most likely due to some blood loss. Go for colonoscopy and stool occult blood test.

Bright yellow urine may be due to liver disease or due to some drug intake like multivitamin tablets. So if you are talking any drugs then tell me. Otherwise go for urine examination. It will give you exact idea.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you very good health.

no multivitamins or supplements. Diagnosed with sleep apnea, for which I've used a CPAP for the past 15 years (every night). Also small fiber peripheral neuropathy (non-diabetic). I take nuvigil 250, omeraprazole (ulcers dx several years ago), and metformin 750 mg once daily. I've had cataracts removed from each eye, and 3 additional surgeries for retinal tears, but otherwise the only issue is that I've needed knee replacement surgery for over 10 years. I haven't had it because I don't have pain, secondary to the neuropathy, but X-rays show zero padding in my knee, it has been bone-on-bone for about 5 years.

I understand these other diagnoses wouldn't impact urine color. You asked about medications/vitamins so I shared the medications I take, and along with that the reasons for each medication. Urine test was already done (normal) and I see the MD tomorrow to schedule colonoscopy.
