Suggest Treatment For Breast Pain And Pneumonia

Question: HI there my best friend wanda's mother is 86 years old, having breast pain in one breast only. she went to a clinic today and was given an exray that showed a white film around the tissue of her breast. Now she had pneumonia once a few years prior to this past april of 2014 and the clinician said something about her pneumonia possibly leaving a residual white film in the tissue of her breast. last year in april/may she was hospitalized and her daughter stayed out there for over a month helping mom recooperate. what we are most concerned about is whether this is something like scarring that could be removed simply or are we looking at a possibly more serious condition and if so what are your ideas with these symptoms? what will it cost me to get these answers? I am on disability myself trying to help my friend and i only have $56.00 total that I can charge on my roommates debit card. so please what kind of answers can you offer us? are we looking at driving to North XXXXXXX this week or is this less serious hopefully God willing! Thank you dear sir Physician. Ms. XXXX

my dear despondent friend went home I'm not sure whom I'm more concerned about her 86 year old mother or her right now! yikes! And I just got out of the hospital after a week stay!!!! UGGHHH no offense....just dont have a very passionate pain management physician anymore due to some slander made upon my name by a woman my hubby (73) and myself felt sorry for in 2013 the coldest winter on record here in years in Wisconsin!!! She had been a neighbor for about 4-5 years with her two boys 12 and 15 in 2013 and she was evicted from her apartment for what we were told were totally false reasons.....truth was she was a heroine addict as well as a pain medication thief! It's terrible here in West Allis, WI a small suburb of Milwaukee! I have picked up used hypodermic needles on the lawn in the summer just grateful they didn't go through a child or anyone's feet/foot playing on the lawn and now my friend XXXXXXX is dealing with her son recovering from the same addiction and his fairly new wife whom her son has always only known as the father the child has ever known not to mention the only real love and affection this poor almost 12 yr. old has gotten throughout his life other than from grandma (my friend wanda) so now the son is on methadone, XXXXXXX had to kick out a crazy literally nuts roommate this past week along with finding out her daughter in law was doing heroine now too in front of the child and her son took the plate and dumped it all on the carpet and said are you fn'nuts?!!!???? she didn't care one bit that she was due to repay a loan to her mother in law my friend. my friend went down first to inform her son about his grandmother when knocking at the door was refused entrance along with the fact that when she went down to inform her son about her mom, his grandmother she was shut out of the house and unable to talk to her son whatsoever! on top of that this poor girl (my friend) is an only child with severe adhd as well as anxiety and has nobody to help with her mother. If i could rightfully get my pain meds back I could help her and walk and have a life again. But I dont think that will ever happen after what the vendictive ex-scuzmate and her kids pulled to get even with me for kicking them out! 'she reported some crap that i was doing something wrong because they lied and said I was being dismissed for making a scene in they're office! Yeah ok! and the last pain management doctor said i was the model patient and his most delightful patient! How do physicians get away with stuff like that? I never abused, gave away, sold or EVER made a scene in that office or any other physicians office! I am a lady where ever I go and I was further offended when the primary care physician I thought we had a fairly great relationship with turned on me and took the other pain docs word over mine. I had been given two last scripts in April of 2014, my father passed in May 29th, 2014 and now Im supposed to help my 75 year old mother take care of a lake property which my health right now i cant even sit straight or walk now! Anyway I just am sick of watching those I love suffer as well as suffering needlessly myself. Why if I asked my phychiatrist if I had a drug problem and told her to not dare sugar coat anything would she reply, "Absolutely not Robin! You have a chronic pain problem! What a bunch of crap! I havent had pain management in over almost a year now and i got myself off all that junk even though the junk made life bearable....it was still a physically addictive drug that i went through hell getting off of and unfortunately Im neither a candidate for spine surgery in my neck due to lack of boney stability as well as a seizure patient who could puncture any pain pump they inserted in me! Great hey? oh well...enough about my happy peppy life...and back to letting you get some answers for Ms. Holmes. Thank you and God bless you folks for listening and conferring on this dear woman's case. It really means alot to me. Thank you for letting me burn your ear while Ive been waiting!

Brief Answer:
get a consultation with a breast specialist or surgeon

Detailed Answer:
dear madam,
i appreciate your concern about your friend's mother.
breast pain with a white film on x-ray in breast area is not indicating towards malignancy. i think your major concern is for cancer. with the description you have given i can say that it should be a benign pathology.
after reading all the facts you have given, i would suggest that you should consult a breast specialist or a surgeon. he/she will examine her properly and will give you the diagnosis with or without few more tests. just on the basis of the information you have given we can not arrive at a conclusion. her lung disease i.e. COPD is an old problem which is due to her smoking habit.
a white film seen in breast area on an x-ray doesn't mean that it is in breast, it may be in lung field also. so for confirmation we have to go for a CT scan or a mammography.
treatment depends on what is the disease actually we are dealing about i.e. the diagnosis of disease.
feel free to ask further.
