Question: Dear doctor,

A few days ago, there are some blisters on my penis. They aren't hurt or itchy. Then, I go to doctor. Because the blisters are too small. He can't tell me anything. He give me Lamisil (Terbinafine hydrochloride cream 1%). I use it 3 days then the blisters are smaller (I only see them if I squeezed tip of my penis). Is it a symptom of Herpes or Genital Wart?

Ps: I've tested negative for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis and HIV after 12 weeks since the last time I had sex.

Thanks
There are some blister on my lips. They don't hurt, burn or itchy. I send the image to you. Are there an STI? Because I don't have test for Herpes and Genital Wart, I worry about them. Can you tell me some symptom of them?

Brief Answer:
looks like herpes, treat immediately

Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings!

I have seen the picture you attached. I would like to know if you are referring to the circled lesions or the white blister on the right side of your lower lip?

The circled white spots look like they might be Fordyce spots. These are visible sebaceous glands that appear on lips and tip of penis. They can be removed cosmetically. But I am concerned to see few blister like lesion on the angle of month. They might be related to herpes.
Please consult a local dermatologist/STD specialist so that he can do a thorough examination of the blisters, if herpes is suspected, he will put you on a course of antiviral drugs like Zovirax or Famvir.

Herpes may or may not be symptomatic. It may present with symptoms like blisters on lips, tongue, gums, penis, testicles or any other part of the body. Also there maybe fever, loss of appetite, body pain or swellings in the groin are (these are swollen lymph nodes).

Genital warts are soft, flesh coloured, cauliflower shaped growths which may appear on the penis or groin area. They can also appear near the mouth in case or oral sexual contact with an infected person was made.

Hope I answered all your queries. If you have any further doubts. please feel free to contact me or else please close the question and rate the answer.

Wish you a good health.

Dear doctor,

Thanks for your advice. I went to the STD specialist. He told me that not a herpes. He gave me some cream. I used it then the lesion was gone.

I want to ask you some more question about STD. I had sex with my partner on May-4. We had oral and anal sex, but we're using condom most of time. I get the STD test 12 weeks later. The result is good. But, I know some STD like Herpes can't test. How can I know if I get it, especial if the symptoms are inside my mouth or in my anal where I can't see? Which symptom appear that I need to go to the STD specialist?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Blood tests available

Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings!

Herpes, mostly is asymptomatic in around 85% of the cases. Mouth herpes can be transmitted to genitals through oral sex.

In case you are asymptomatic but are doubtful, you can get tested for herpes with a direct viral test that detects the herpes antigen or virus in the blood.

Tests are available also to detect the antibodies formed against herpes virus in the blood.

You should go the STD specialist if you develop any blisters, sores, pimple like lesions appear near the mouth or genital area or if you experience flu like symptoms with swelling in the groin area (enlarged lymph nodes), or you have any tingling sensation/ shooting pains in the leg and hip area (usually these pains occur few hours before the eruption of herpetic lesions).

Hope I answered all your queries.
