Suggest Treatment For Bladder Cancer

Question: Good morning, being treated for bladder , urerter cancer at XXXXXXX inNY , I live in Ohio which makes getting to my URO dr XXXXXXX herr difficult at time, my daughter lives in NY. Is the reason I'm there.
Been dealing with this for over 3years, had ureterectomy and implant in July 2013 and all together 3 rounds of BCG treatments , my lasted visit found positive for malignant cells , urothelial carcinoma
Now I am to go back in early April for another cystoscope and CAT scan
My question is I am to have knee replacement which would cause me not to be able to get this checked ,in April, probably not until mid - late XXXXXXX , would not be able to travel and be on blood thinner,
Any thoughts if this would not wise to wait and extra 3 months to checked ?
. My knee is really bad and unable to get around. And having pain , can't bend. ,
Appreciate thoughts on whati should. Do
Thanks. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Bladder cancer is your priority...

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I have studied your case and my advise is that you get all check up done for bladder cancer and then do knee replacement. Blood thinner are important post knee replacement, so first complete management of bladder cancer and then work on knee replacement.

Until then you can try local knee shots to reduce knee pain. Physiotherapy may help you relieve acute pain.

I hope I have answered your questions. If you have further questions please feel free to contact us. I will be happy to answer. Take care.

DrGandhi, thanks for your.Opinion , I will check with my URO also
I did have cortisone injection, my knee is locking up , tight and very unstable
This knee was operated years ago for reconstruction due to being knocked knee and having knee dislocation . That surgery was done before knee replacements were started . I am leaning toward knee surgery , because I can't get around and soo unstable, I can here all kind of cracking , ect.
I was hoping having urine cell positve, while my cystoscope in the bladder look good
No mass, or issuing while being scoped . My follow up is to have another CAt scan and scope. Yes, a knee surgery would not allow me to have my follow up in April, if I had surgery in March , may be at XXXXXXX to get to XXXXXXX
Do appreciate your answer, any other thoughts please let me know XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
knee replacement is good surgery

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

I can understand severity of your knee pain.
knee replacement is good surgery ,but for good results there should be no infection any where in body.

You should be able to do physiotherapy post operatively for good results.

All the best.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
