Suggest Treatment For Big Reddish Bump On Legs And Arms

Question: Hello,

Ive noticed a Big reddish bump on leg and arm.

off late, these bumps keep coming and going(noticed some near forehead, arm and hip area). They tend to appear at night and are more or less non existent by afternoon.

The bump on the leg (pic attached) and one on the arm are relatively bigger and have persisted since last night.

Thank you for posting on HCM.
From your description and clinical picture its looks like you are having episodes of urticaria or hives, a kind of allergic skin eruption.
I would advise you to consult a dermatologist for proper management.
The best management of urticaria is to find the allergen or other causes and try to avoid it as far as possible. Your doctor may advise you all necessary investigations to trace the allergen and cause.
Usually i advise a long term course(3-6 months) of various antihistaminics. Oral corticosteroids can be added in non- responsive cases.
Also, in certain non-responding cases various other medications like dapsone, montelukast, cyclosporine, omalizumab can be tried.
