Question: My husband is 21 years old and has peed the bed twice now in the last 6 months. He said the last time that he did that he was a child. What could be the reason?

Brief Answer: Please provide additional medical data of husband Detailed Answer: Hi, I have gone through the medical history of your husband and understood your concerns. There are many factors causing bed wetting twice in the last 6 months, but first I need to have more of your husband's medical data: - has he ever done an urine analysis and been treated for urinary tract infection? - has he measured his blood sugar levels? Is he having problems with diabetes? - is he used to drink alcohol? - is he taking any medication recently? - does he consume too much coffee/energetic drinks? - is he going through a stressful life-period? - do you remember if he had any new food/drink the night when bed-wetting? To determine the reason, further tests are needed: - urine analysis and culture/sensitivity testing - abdominal ultrasound - physical/neurological examinations Depending on the test results, specific treatment will be prescribed. Looking forward to have the requested data in! Thank you! Dr.Albana

Brief Answer: Further examination of uro-genital tract needed... Detailed Answer: Hi, At this point, I highly suggest to ask him: - run the above-mentioned tests to check for uro-genital problems - not to consume water or other drinks at dinner - try to control stress/anxiety. Chamomile /valeriana tea have been of help for some of my patients. He can try and see if that works for him too. All the best!
