Suggest Treatment For Back Pain, Fever, Stiff Neck And Knot Behind Ear
Question: I started feeling poor yesterday started with a back ache; middle of night ran fever 103, woke up 101.1; also started with a knot behind /below my left ear lobe. My neck is ache/kinda stiff like. I have knots on my left side of neck at least 4 and my gland on the left side of my neck is rather large. I ache from my jaw line down to my arms just above my elbows. I slept 12 hours last night and a nap for 2 hours this evening I at first thought it was an ear ache and used coproduction my right ear & the knot that was by this ear lobe seems a bit better not as hard but the left is worse. I feel like I have the flu but just from my face down my arms above my elbows. No sore throat. Feel terrible. I also have a mosquito bite in the middle of my back new yesterday.

I have throughly read your description and deeply understand your concern.
According to me the knots are nothing by enlarged lymph nodes which are normally seen during infection especially upper respiratory tract infection, flu as you have mentioned.This is seen as a response when the body immunity tries to fight against infection. They are painful initially, no matter how big would gradually subside and completely disappear over the next 2-4 weeks.This is the natural course.
Kindly continue the medication that have been advised.Augmentin is an antibiotic and Tylenol/iburpofen for fever and pain.
Donot panic about the mosquito bite.Use mosquito repellent creams etc if necessary.I would like to advise to take prophylaxis for malaria if the place where you stay is endemic.Hope this helps.
