Suggest Treatment For Arthritis And Migraine Headaches

default
Posted on Fri, 22 May 2015
Question: I have been told I have arthritis, but no RA, especially by my podiatrist as my feet hurt the most, and he could see it on xray. I have the worst pain fall, winter and spring, with some relief during the summer months. Really affected by the weather--storms, humidity, cold. I had early menopause due to endometriosis surgery (no hysterectomy, but removed parts of ovaries and lesions), and have read that joint pain/arthritis is more common after menopause. Could this be causing the pain? I feel like I'm 80, although I've always been active and exercise! Are there any natural remedies I could use please? My blood work is all normal, except low Vitamin D (23), and I do not have any other health issues except migraine headaches. Could the low Vitamin D be causing this pain? I just started taking Vit D supplements. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Get tested.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Rheumatoid Arthritis characterized by pain and morning stiffness on joints of the body specially the small joints. But the same symptoms can also be found in Vitamin D deficiency and Fibromyalgia. So thr best way out in such case is to get a few blood tests done to rule out Rheumatoid Arthritis. You should get Rheumatoid Factor , Anti CCP Anti body, ESR and CRP done. These tests will confirm that you have Rheumatoid Arthritis or not. If found you will be treated for that otherwise Fibromyalgia and Vitamin D deficiency might be the cause behind your symptoms.
