Suggest Treatment For Aphthous Ulcers
Question: Two days ago I started having pain in my upper left jaw which went to my teeth. Having had abcessed teeth before, I didn't feel that this was the case. Yesterday, I started getting blisters behind my teeth on the pallet. I also was having pain in my left sinus area and into my left eye. I have no fever, but the blisters are increasing and are extremely painful. I have no other symptoms of illness.

I read your question and i understand your concern. With history of dental abscess these blisters are basically aphthous ulcers on the pallet. They need symptomatic treatment. Topical anesthetic gels and corticosteroid gels will relieve the pain. Underlying cause needs to be ruled out. Compromised oral hygiene secondary to dental infections and GI discomfort are the commonest. Garlic water mouth rinses will also help.
It needs a detailed clinically correlated examination but till then these symptomatic remedies will help. Seek an oral hygienist or a dentist at an earliest convenience.

My last visit to the dentist was two weeks ago and I have always had regular dental care and am active in taking care of my teeth. The abcesses have been due to traumatic mouth injuries. I have never had anything like this before. Do people ever have shingles in their mouths?
