Question: I suffer from anxiety and my heart rate was very high when I got up. I can't seem to lower it to under 88 beats per minute even when I rest. Do I need to be concerned

The normal heart rate for a healthy young individual ranges between 60-100 and 88 is well within limits.

It seems to me that you experienced palpitations (feeling one's own heart beating) as part of anxiety and your excessive concern about fast heart rate keeping your anxiety level high.

In my opinion rather than your heart beats you need to concern for anxiety. I request you to see a psychiatrist for definite management of anxiety.
