Brief Answer:
you can send photos

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
You can send us photos on this site. Just attach photos and send this back to me.
You could also send them as a mail to YYYY@YYYY with subject at Attention: Dr Kathy Robinson. It will be uploaded safely here.

If her lips are swelling rapidly though you may want to take her to the Emergency Department. It sounds like she is having an allergic reaction to something and it could involve her throat so that she may develop trouble breathing. Get her to Emergency as soon as possible and definitley if she develops any sign of shortness of breath. Giving her the telefast (antihistamine) is a good idea, but if it is progressing rapidly you really need to get her to Emergency.

Brief Answer:
angioedema

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your follow up.
This condition is called angioedema. It is caused by allergies and it is important to try and figure out what she has encountered that she may be allergic to.
Here is a site where you can learn more about angioedema.

http://www.uptodate.com/contents/angioedema-the-basics?source=search_result&search=angioedema&selectedTitle=1~150

Allergic reactions may be to foods, contact with certain plants or animals, medications etc.
Make sure she gets emergency care if she develops any trouble breathing or swallowing.
You may want to get her seen by a doctor today even if she is not having trouble breathing because steroids are often prescribed along with the antihistamines and those require a doctors prescription.
I hope she is back to normal soon,
Dr. Robinson

Brief Answer:
no but watch her carefully

Detailed Answer:
Not necessarily but she needs to be seen by a doctor today if possible because her swelling will go down much more quickly if she has a prescription for steroids
