Question: Respected Dr,

I am 27 years old male, suffering from piles for almost a decade, feeling discomfort or bleeding only twice in a year when hard stool passed, otherwise feel comfortable, hence i consulted surgeon, one surgeon told me that its a anal fissure, so use an ointment called Nitrogesic, i used it and i felt comfort, but the outgrown tissue have never get relief. Initially i could find only one or two tissues, but now i could feel 5to 6 tissues in the perianal region. I am feeling so discomfort, couldnt walk properly, heavy pain during stool passing, irritated and itching senses etc.,

I would like to go for surgery also, but i hesitate since many of my friends with piles surgery taken person saying they remove anal sphincter partially, which makes them to uncontrol the sense of motion passing.

I started to using Anovate just two days before, after consulting a doctor, i feel little bit improvement. still i need a permanent solution for this,

Kindly suggest me a good solution doctor.

Brief Answer:
You can go for minor procedures.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

There are many minor procedures which can be tried before surgery.

One of the effective procedure is injecting sclerosing agent in prominent vessels of piles or band ligation will help you.

So ideal would be to see a general surgeon or gastroenterology surgeon and discuss about this option.
Meanwhile I suggest you continue current medication and also I suggest you sitz bath twice a day. Take hot water in tub and add one spoon of salt and sit in tub for 15 minutes.

Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards

Dear Dr,

Thank you for your prompt answer,

I want to know whether to use ANovate alone or both Anovate and Nitrogesic ointment together or at seperate time,

Defeacation, becomes complicated and painful, can you suggest a medication for the same.

Is there any other ointment available to treat my condition better.

I will sure consult a surgeon about this sclerosing agent method.

Thank you once again for your reply.

Brief Answer:
Yes , you can use both ointments.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Yes , you can use both ointments.Nitrogesics can be used few hours prior to defecation, this will help relieve anal spasm.

Anovate after defecation can help relieve pain.

Use of any oral laxative can help pass stools with less efforts.

Regards.
